Funeral for D.J. Duncan, 83, of Danville will be Sunday, May 18, 2008, at 1:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Joe Williams and the Rev. Ray Milligan officiating.
Burial will be in Johnson Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mr. Duncan, who died Thursday, May 15, 2008, at Decatur Health and Rehabilitation Center, was born Feb. 5, 1925, in Winston County to Daniel Jackson Duncan and Josie Compton Duncan. He was preceded in death by two sons, Ferman D. Duncan and Ray Duncan; three brothers, Eugene Duncan, Lee Adis Duncan and J.C. Duncan; and one sister, Avis Duncan.
Survivors include his wife, Lucail Duncan; two daughters, Dorothy Jane Sparks of Decatur and Deborah Joyce Williams of Castor, La.; one brother, Leborne Duncan of Decatur; six grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley.
