James R. Blanck, 50, Kansas City, MO, passed away Sunday, March 28, 2004, at home after battling Prostate Cancer. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 31, at the McGilley Antioch Chapel, 3325 N.E. Vivion Rd.; burial in Lawson Cemetery, Lawson, MO. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the James Blanck Memorial Fund, c/o US Bank, 6405 N. Cosby Ave., Kansas City, MO 64151. Jim was born March 18, 1954, in Boonville, MO, and grew up in Leavenworth, KS. Jim enjoyed telescoping and Astronomy. He was employed at SBC. Survivors include his wife, Diana Blanck; stepsons, Michael and Eric King; his parents, Albert and Alice Blanck; sister, Margaret Sue "Maggie" Filbert; brothers, Frank, David, Richard and Steve Blanck; seven nieces and nephews; three great-nieces and nephews.
