Gilbert is survived by his daughter, Diane Stelzer and husband Junior; grandson, J.C. Stelzer III.
A visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North in San Antonio. The funeral service will begin at 9 a.m. Wednesday, May 7, at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North. Interment will be in the Taylor City Cemetery in Taylor at 1 p.m.
Gilbert and wife Lydia lived for many years in San Antonio, Texas. She used to call him "Gil." They were an affectionate couple who loved to entertain in their home. He was a plumber by trade. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved people.
