Rev. Rittenhouse Dies At Warren

Rev. Ellis M. Rittenhouse, 73, died at 7:30 this morning at his home in Warren. He had been ill for the past 10 days and death was attributed to pneumonia.

Rev. Rittenhouse, who was a retired Presbyterian minister, was born in Huntington county on Jan. 20, 1872 a son of Reason and Rebecca Follis Rittenhouse. His first marriage was to Nellie Seastrum who died on Feb. 24, 1927. His second marriage took place on May 28, 1928 to Lenna Holbert.

Surviving are the wife, three sons by his first marriage, Walter H. Rittenhouse, of Long Island, N. Y., Robert F. Rittenhouse, of Culver City, Calif., and J. Kenneth Rittenhouse, of Columbus, O.; one son by his second marriage, Charles Ellis Rittenhouse, at home; a sister, Mrs. Marion K. Bailey, of Warren, and a half-sister, Mrs. Mamie Pitcher, of Marion.

The body will be taken from the H. Brown and Son funeral home in Warren to the residence.

Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
