Clifford C. Dayley, 94, a resident of Kimberly and formerly of Richfield, died Thursday, September 16, 1999, at his daughter's residence in Kimberly.

Cliff was born December 27, 1904, in Oakley, Idaho, to Heber and Mary Ellen Matthews, the second child in a family of 11.

Cliff married Neola Rose Craner on November 1, 1930, in Rupert, Idaho. They resided in Oakley until 1947 when they moved to Richfield. Cliff farmed and ranched until 1971, when they sold the ranch and moved into Richfield. They spent many of their retirement years traveling to Arizona and Mexico in the winters. In October of 1993, Neola suffered a stroke and in June of 1994, Cliff moved in with his daughter Jacquie and husband, Richard Luff in Kimberly. Cliff was a member of the Richfield School Board, served several years on the Big Wood Canal Board; played on a bowling league; was a member of the LDS Church and managed the church welfare farm for several years. He was an active community member.

Cliff is survived by three children, Jacquie (Richard) Luff of Kimberly, Winnie(Jessio) West of Richfield, and DeVon "Toby" (Lori Pridmore) Dayley of Spokane, Washington; one brother, Kenneth Dayley of Versailes, Kentucky; eleven grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1996, his parents, five brothers, four sisters and one great-grandson.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 21, 1999, at the Richfield LDS Church by Bishop Lowell Ward. Interment will follow at the Oakley Cemetery at 3 p.m. Family and friends may call at Demaray's Shoshone Chapel on Monday from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. and on Tuesday at the church from 10 a.m. until service time. Memorial contributions may be made to the Richfield Quick Response or the Oakley Cemetery, Oakley, Idaho.
