DUMAS - Lorene Burkett, 93, died Saturday, May 10, 2008.
Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Northlawn Memorial Cemetery with Jim York of Stinnett Church of Christ officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Burkett was born Aug. 3, 1914, in Big Cabin, Okla., to James and Mary Teeter Henry. She was a very good cook and an excellent mother and loved to spend time with her family.

Survivors include her children, Betty Atkins of Decatur, Billie Brazell of Dumas, Dessie Gibbs of Dandridge, Tenn., L.C. Jr. and Don Burkett, both of Sunray and Patsy Allen of Amarillo; 25 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and 25 great-great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Memorial Hospice in Dumas.
