Mr. Albert was a native of Broussard, La., and a lifelong resident of Gulfport. He was an Army veteran of World War II and Korea and was a retired longshoreman. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Gulfport.
He was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Elsie Holliman Albert; three sons, Roy Albert Jr. and Phil Albert, all of Gulfport, and Dennis Ray Albert of Long Beach; three daughters, Diane Bosarge and Jane Yates, both of Gulfport, and Susan Rhodes of Saucier; 17 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 tonight at Riemann Memorial Funeral Home, U.S. 49 North, Gulfport. A service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home chapel with burial in Biloxi National Cemetery..
