Branson Beacon, Thursday February 16, 1984; Owen Fisher; Services for Owen Joseph Fisher, 82, Cedar Creek, were held Monday afternoon in Kissee Mortuary in Forsyth with the Rev. Elmer Davis officiating. Burial was in Brittain Cemetery near Kirbyville. Mr. Fisher died at 10 a.m. Feb. 9 in his home after a long illness. He was a lifelong Taney County resident. Survivors include his wife, Oval Jewel; a son Owen Jackson, Cedar Creek; four daughters, Mrs. Lena White, Purdy, Mrs. Minnie Fortson, Jefferson City, Mrs. Clara Holtz, state of Wisconsin, and Mrs. Nancy Cobb, Cedar Creek; two brothers, Clarence, Ridgedale, and Bill, Springfield; two sisters, Mrs. Maudie McClary, Mincy, and Mrs. Pearl Whorton, Springfield; 30 grandchildren; and 28 great grandchildren
