OBITUARY OF O. W. CLAFLIN

Orrison Willie Claflin was born De
cember 4, 1872, in Fillmore County,
Nebraska, and departed this life June
15, 1928, at the age of 55 years, 6
months, 12 days. He moved from Fill
more County to Scandia, Kans., at the
age of four years. He resided there
untill 1889 when he came to Frontier
County. On October 15, 1894, he was
united in marriage to Clara Hinton of
Stockville. In 1925 he moved near
Indianola at which place he lived un
til death. To this union twelve chil
dren were born.
They are: Ira, Alfred and Mrs. Lil
lian Schultz of Stockville, Mrs. Bertha
Neiman of Moorefield, Arthur of Pal
isade, Nebr., Hazel, Jeptha, Wayne,
Cleo and Zalia of Indianola. Two chil
dren died in infancy.
He leaves to mourn their loss his
wife, children, 15 grandchildren, 7
sisters, 7 brothers and stepmother.
Funeral services were held in the
Congregational church at Stockville
Sunday, June 17, and were in charge
of the pastor, Rev. Lauren Messer
Smith.

illness and death of our beloved hus

express our heartfelt thanks and ap
