BODY OF DONALD LASHA ARRIVES

Funeral Services Thursday For Youth Who Lost Life in Utah Copper Mine.

The body of Donald Lasha who lost his life Thursday last in an Utah copper mine, having been overcome by gas fumes, arrived in this city at 9:20 this morning. It was taken to the Guilfoyle undertaking parlors and later to the home of the parents, Mr. and Mrs.. Robert LaSha of 33 Riverside Flats.

Funeral services will be held from the home at 9. Thursday morning and at 9:30 from the church of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, Father Amadee LaCasse officiating. Interment will be made in Glenwood cemetery.

Donald LaSha was born in Gananoque, Canada. He removed to this city with his parents when a young lad and had since resided here, a period of about 11 years.

Donald attended the Cooper street grammar school from which he graduated and later entered High school. He was employed for some time at the silk mill on Newell street and for the past several winters had devoted: his time to fishing and trapping at Chaffey's Locks, Ont.

Leaving here in June for Los Angeles, Donald was determined to work his way to the western coast and obtained employment in various towns en route which enabled him to carry out his plans. He entered the employ of the Utah copper company late in August. Although he had written from various cities which he visited in his travels, his parents were unaware that he had been working for the copper company until a telegram announcing his death was received. Gas fumes in the mines caused his death. The body was sent home by the company at the request of the parents and when it arrived this morning was covered with two beautiful floral pieces. These tokens of esteem in which he was held were placed there by two girls who are employes of the company for which Donald worked.

Surviving besides his parents, are two sisters, Miss Jennie Lasha and Mrs. James Kelley of 122 Francis street, this city.
