Mr. Hoover was a 1932 graduate of Altoona Area High School, a member of the Carson Valley Church of the Brethren, Portage Lodge F&AM, Jaffa Shrine and the Jaffa Cycle Corps, Altoona Shrine Club, and Heidelburg Country Club. Mr. Hoover retired from the middle division of Conrail in 1976 after 36 years of service. He was treasurer and caretaker of Carson Valley Cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, and four children, Richard, Elaine, Duane, and Kenneth L. Jr.; eight grandchildren and a brother, Donald F. of Carson Valley. A brother, Earl B., died in 1979.
Friends were received Sunday in Donald E. Liebegott Funeral Home, Duncansville, where a masonic service was held at 7 p.m., and received again Monday in the Carson Valley Church of the Brethren prior to the services led by the Rev. R. Eugene Miller. Donations made to Shriner's Crippled Children's Hospital.
