News of the death of Major Wellborn Ben was received Wednesday night in Montgomery. He died in San Francisco Wednesday night after returning to the United States about a month ago. His heath was broken and he had been under treatment at a hospital in San Francisco. The body will be brought to Alabama for interment and funeral arrangements will be announced.
Major Dent was the son of Mrs. Warren F. Dent and was married to Mrs. Marjorie Watts who survives him. He is also also survived by his mother, two sisters, two brothers, and many other relatives.
