Eufaula Resident Had Extensive Business Interests in State

Eufaula, Ala., Feb 28 - George H. Dent died suddenly of heart disease at his place of business this afternoon. He was a Confederate veteran and prominent businessman and was 75 years of age.
He is survived by a wife and three sons: George Dent of Montgomery, Warren Dent of Eufaula, and Louis Dent of Birmingham; a daughter, Mrs. Clark Williams of Birmingham. He was an uncle of Congressman S.H. Dent whose father died here a year ago.
Mr. Dent and his brother, the late Captain S.H. Dent, were both members of Dent's battery, commanded by Captain Dent. This battery did heroic fighting in Tennessee and other states.
Mr. Dent was well-known both in Montgomery and Birmingham where he had extensive business interests. His brother, Warren Dent, lives in Montgomery.
