KILLED BY A HORSE

D.E. McMillan, of Allen, Dies From Injuries Received on Monday
A very sad accident happened near Allen Monday morning which resulted in the death of D.E. McMillan, a farmer who lived upon the Geo. Knight place. Mr. McMillan had led a fractious team to the watering trough and as he walked behind them one of the horses kicked the unfortunate man in the stomach with terrible force throwing him a distance of eight or nine feet and inflicting mortal wounds internally from which he died later.
The deceased was 56 years of age and leaves a wife and four children. The burial took place at the Allen cemetery this afternoon at 4 o’clock.

Died:- Mr. D.E. McMillan was suddenly taken away from his loved ones on last Tuesday, his death being the result of a kick from a horse. He was buried Wednesday at Allen, Kas. Mr. McMillan was an old resident of Kansas coming here in an early day. He was a man with a kind word for all, industrious and hard working. He leaves a wife and four children, two boys and two girls. And the deepest sympathy of friends and neighbors are extended to the bereft ones.
