Mabel Boswell Fisher was born June 13, 1888, the daughter of Abraham Lincoln and Cora May Boswell at Mt. Etna, Adams County, Iowa. She grew to girlhood there and attended the Corning Academy. She united with the First Baptist church at Mt. Etna, Iowa at the age of 13, and was received into the Christ Lutheran Church at Davenport, Nebraska in April of 1957.

She moved to Nebraska in 1910 with her parents. She was united in marriage to Quintin S. Fisher on April 15, 1911 at Clay Center, Nebraska. To this union seven sons and one daughter were born.

Three sons preceded her in death, Myron, Lewis, and Earl in infancy and one brother, Vern.

She leaves to mourn: her husband, Quentin Fisher; four sons, Joseph of Klamath Falls, Oregon, William of Davenport, Nebraska, Victor of Kearney, Nebraska, and Walter of Joplin, Missouri; one daughter, Loretta of Patterson, California; two brothers, Ralph of Sutton, Nebraska and Glen of Edgar, Nebraska; on sister, Dorothy of Patterson, California; and 15 grandchildren.

She departed this life on Sunday, April 2, 1961 at Fillmore County hospital at Geneva, Nebraska. Services and burial were at Davenport, Nebraska.
