Patsy White, a beacon of love and faith, passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 8, 2024, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Born on August 20, 1941, in Eldon, Oklahoma, to the late Watie and Hazel Rotramel, Patsy's life was a testament to her selfless nature and enduring spirit. She was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her.

Patsy's journey through life was one of dedication and service. She attended Lane and Hulbert School. In 1987, she graduated from the Cherokee Nation School of Nursing where she was awarded the Florence Nightingale Award for her excellence. She began a nearly 30-year career as a nurse working at Stilwell General and WW Hastings Hospitals and Grace Living Center. Patsy's gentle touch and warm smile as a nurse were sources of solace to countless patients and their families. Never one to be limited, she went back to school and earned her associates degree in Nursing from Bacone College. Although she had a major heart surgery in the middle of her studies, she still graduated on time and was proud of this accomplishment.

Beyond her professional achievements, Patsy found joy in sewing, crocheting, and immersing herself in the pages of the Bible and continued to enjoy them until she began losing her sight. She also enjoyed singing and playing the piano. She served faithfully at Faith Chapel Church. Her greatest pleasure, however, was found in the company of her beloved family. Patsy was the heart of her family, and her legacy of love will continue to thrive in those she leaves behind.

Patsy married Gene White in 1956 and, though their marriage was not one that people would call a storybook romance, their love for each other withstood the test of time and they had nearly 49 years together before his passing in 2005. The two of them had four children: Carla who passed away at the age of 20-months, Owen who passed away in 2020, Sandy, and Terrill.

In 2006, Patsy married Duane Trammel. She was often heard saying that she don't know what she would do without him because he took care of her like no one else. He remained her ever present companion up until she took her final breath with him by her side.

The sorrow of losing her first husband and children, Carla and Owen, was a profound sadness in her life, yet she remained a pillar of strength for her surviving daughter, Sandra Hall, and son, Terrill White, along with his wife, Christie White. Patsy's blended family also included her step-daughter, Pamela Fairfield, step-daughter and husband, Cailey and Jordan Garretson, and step-daughter and husband, Jamicia and Nick Smith.

Her grandchildren, who brought immeasurable joy to her life, include Jesse Hall, Jessica Munson and her husband Spencer, Alyssa White, Abigail White, Joseph Fairfield, Zeberiah Fairfield, Destiny McKinney, Dorian Cooper, Emmalee McKinney, Orion White, Brianna Choate, Dilyn Thompson, Xaviar McHenry, TyShawn Olive, and Lane Smith. Patsy was predeceased by her granddaughter Hannah Davis.

Patsy's extended family was a reflection of her expansive heart. She is survived by her in-laws, Evelyn Dick, Norma and Bob Ford, Bill and Linda Trammel, Robert Trammel, Donald and Bonnie Trammel, Donna and Dennis Steinman, and Ina Trammel. She was preceded in death by her siblings Toy Rotramel, Junior Johnson, Wanda Carr, Maggie Griffin, Speedy Moore, Mamie Bryan, Shirley Tudor, Rosalee Rotramel, Sharon Hipp, Linda Young, Nadine Huff, Calvin Rotramel, and Johnny Rotramel.

Patsy White lived a life characterized by loving kindness, a faith-filled heart, and selfless devotion to others. Her unwavering commitment to her family and her patients was a reflection of her deep-seated belief in the goodness of humanity and the power of compassion. As we mourn her passing, we also celebrate the extraordinary legacy she leaves behind—a legacy of nurturing, healing, and boundless love. Her memory will be cherished, her lessons will be honored, and her love will be felt for generations to come. Patsy's story is not one of an ending, but a beautiful reminder of the impact one life can have on so many.
