Carol Nadine Rotramel-Huff , or Nadine to her family and friends, was born on June 23rd, 1947 in Eldon Community, OK, the daughter of Calvin Stan Watie and Hazel Claudia(Boswell) Rotramel-Hall. She grew up in a laughter filled household with four brothers and nine sisters, Maggie, Toy, Tom, Wanda, Almeda, Mamie, Rosa, Shirley, Sharon, Melinda, Calvin, Johnnie, and Patsy. She attended school in Hulbert and then finished her GED. She then decided on a career in nursing, attending school and attained her LPN degree in 1989, working as a nurse until she retired in 2003. She was the text book perfect nurse, always ready to take care of her patients, always seeing to the needs of others. She was always happy and a lot of fun to be around, and was the kind of friend you wanted for life. You could confide in Nadine and your words never left her. Nadine married Ron Huff in 2001 and together they raised her three sons, Jerry, James and Joe. Unfortunately, their marriage was to end all too soon with Ron's passing in 2004. She was so very proud of her boys. She raised beautiful flowers and a large variety of vegetables, all to share with her family and friends. Nadine was known for her fried chicken, its was the best ever, and her beans and cornbread, good down home cooking. First and foremost she was a Christian and served the Lord all the days of her life! She was a proud member of "Soul Hunters", a gospel group, and her contribution was playing the piano, bass, lead or drums. Nadine was happiest when singing to the glory of the Lord and serving His people. She was active at both Proctor Community and Faith Chapel Church. When she had down time, she often attended the local gospel singing wherever it was held. Her family was her pride and joy, and every chance she could, she was in the company of her five grandchildren, Jason, Erica, Heath, Austin and Heather. The Lord called this good and faithful servant home from her labors on Friday, October 30th, 2020 at her home in Tahlequah, OK. She was 73 years old, and will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Henry and Carrie Ann (Meigs) Boswell and her paternal grandparents, Doc and Almeda Rotramel, her Mom and Dad, one son, James Taylor Gordon, four brothers and eight sisters, Maggie Rotramel, Toy Rotramel, Tom Johnson Jr., Wanda Ann Carr, Almeda Jane Moore, mamie Marie Bryan, Rosa Lee Rotramel, Shirley Jean Tudor, Sharon Kay Hipp, Melinda Lou Young, Calvin Rotramel, and Johnnie Rotramel.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Jerry Marcus Gordon and Joe Walters both of Tahlequah. She also leaves one sister, Patsy White Tramel and husband Homer Duane Trammel of Tahlequah, OK, and daughter-in-law, Nancy Bryan of Keys. She lives on in her five grandchildren, Jason Walters of Vian, Erica Walters of Arkansas, Heath Bryan of Keys, Austin Bryan of keys, and Heather Bryan of Oklahoma City, OK. She also leaves two great grandchildren, Brentley Smith and Stedman Smith, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of family and loved ones too numerous to mention.
