Josiah's Muscogee County, Georgia Death Certificate, State Registrar File Number 31079, records Josiah Law MITCHELL's birth on 17 March 1894 in Columbus, Georgia, and his death on 26 October 1924 in Columbus at age 30 years, 7 months, and 9 days. His parents were Jule C. MITCHELL, born in Glennville, Alabama, and Ellen HARDIN, born in Texas. Josiah was single and worked as a secretary doing clerical work. Cause of death was acute Bright's disease which was contracted in Newark, New Jersey. Burial was in Linwood Cemetery on 27 October 1924. Josiah's father, Jule C. MITCHELL of Columbus, was the informant.
