Easmon L. Napier (1931-1980,) was an Oklahoma native. At a young age attended the Hartford and the Stamps-Baxter schools of music. In 1951 he became the pianist for the McDonald Brothers Quartet in McAlester, Oklahoma. In early 1952 he left them and joined the All American Quartet in Decatur, Illinois. Around the end of the year he moved on to the Stamps Quartet in Dallas. In 1956 he became pianist for the new Plainsmen Quartet which was an offshoot of the Stamps Quartet. After several years with the Plainsmen, he left and operated a music store and music school and appeared on radio in Wichita. Napier later rejoined the Plainsmen, and the closely related Marksmen Quartet, and served as their pianist, manager, and emcee until the mid 1970s.
