Bertram A. Gardiner, 78, of 1056
16th, was found dead at his home Thursday, Oct. 25,1977.
Mr. Gardiner was born March 16, 1899, in Plain City, Alfred Gardiner and Sarah Pool Gardiner.
He was married to Lorna Wilbur on Nov. 17, 1920, in Ogden. She died in 1967. He had resided;
in Ogden and Eden. He bad been employed as a service technician for the Mountain Fuel Supply Co. for 48
years, retiring in 1966. Following his retirement, he was employed by The Bon Marche. He was a member of the Lorin
Farr LDS Ward and was former ward clerk. He was also a member of the Lorin Farr Stake High Priest
Quorum, and former member of the Ogden Tabernacle Choir. Surviving are four sons and one daughter,
14 grandchildren and I3 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister.

Bert was compassionate, friendly, likeable, a loving son, a deeply loved father, and a very special and loved Grandfather. He was handy as a carpenter, plumber, loved growing flowers and fruit, loved animals, and was a general handyman around the house. He was religious, honest, a very hard worker, and had a wonderful sense of humor. He was a good faithful husband. He loved his children and his grandchildren, and is greatly missed by them.
