Linda Diane Carson, 67, passed away at 7 p.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at OSF St. Clare Hospital in Alton. Born May 7, 1947 in Alton, she was a daughter of Clyde L. and Betty Jean (McCollum) Terry. On July 11, 1964, 50 years ago, she and Michael R. Carson were married in Alton. He survives. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Michael R. Carson II and Greg (Emily) Eubanks; a daughter, Terri (Eubanks) Fincher; 7 grandchildren, Matthew, Britini, and Brett (Erin Carter) Carson, Kane and Haylee Eubanks, Jacob (Justine) Tucker, and Chris Fincher; 11 great grandchildren, Luke, Madison, Abby, Cammeron, Landon, Bryce, Ian, Lyla, Junes, Jazz, and Broady; a brother, Kevin (Geaneen) Terry; two sisters, Stephanie (Brian) Leffert and Deana Harris; and a sister-in-law, Pam (Herb) Croxford. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Scott Terry; and a daughter and son, Karen and Shawn Carson. At her request, she will be cremated and there will be no services. Memorials may be made to 5 A's or the American Cancer Society. A big "Thank You" to St. Anthony's Hospice and the nurses at St. Clare's Hospital.
