Son of Hezekiah & Abigail (Penoyer) Boughton. Husband of Huldah Willson. Father of Harry, William, Claudius, George, Althea Sprague, Huldah Brooks, Sarah Scoville and Charlotte Boughton.

He was a Revolutionary War Soldier. In his early life he lived in West Stockbridge, Mass. In 1793 he started the big move with his family to Victor, NY. Unfortunately he died on the way by Canadaigua, NY. His wife later married Dr. Reuben Hart and had a daughter Caroline.
