Marie Marcella Lewman, 86, of Knightstown, died Tuesday, January 13, 2004 in Lynd House in Muncie. She was born May 14, 1917 in Henry County, a daughter of the late William and Nellie (Wilkonson) Sharlton.
Mrs. Lewman lived in Henry County most of her life. She was an office worker at Prestige Portraits and a cook at Ball State University. She was a member of the East Street Christian Church in Carthage..
Survivors include one daughter, Patricia (husband:Gary) Buntin of Muncie; two brothers, Virgil (wife:Nina) Charlton of New Castle and William Charlton of Michigan; one sister, Mildred Davis of Bradenton, Fla.; one grandchild, Kevin R. (wife:Cathy) Buntin of Houston,Texas; four great-grandchildren, Grady (wife:Cathy) Wooten and Mandy (husband:Justin) Johnson of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Justin Wooten and Erica Wooten of Jackson, Mo.; one step-great-grandchild, Shyne Murphy of Houston, Texas; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
On March 4, 1939 she married Lincoln Elwood Lewman and he preceded her in death in 1987. Also preceding her in death were six brothers, three sisters and one granddaughter.
