"Mrs. Ada Kelch of Gessie, age 94, died Wednesday night, February 28, at her home. She was born in Wabash Township, Fountain County, December 4, 1884, the daughter of Llewellyn and Clara Townsley Jones. She was married on December 25, 1906, to John Edward Kelch, who died August 12, 1963. Mrs. Kelch was a member of Gessie United Methodist Church, its women's organization and Perrysville OES.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Kathryn Arlene Quilleon of Columbus and Mrs. Gladys LeVere Sword of Versailles, Illinois; a son, Oral B. of Gessie; seven grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Gessie United Methodist Church with Rev. Donald Osborne officiating. Burial was in Lower Mound Cemetery. Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home of Covington was in charge of arrasngements."
