Born and raised on a farm in Russell County, Kentucky, to Lois and Lucian Jones

He served his country in the U.S. Marines during WWII. There he met his wife, Jean Smithy. They had 3 children, Marsha Ann, Patty Kay, and Steve Jones.

Charles, like his five brothers, came to Anderson, Indiana to make a living. Only his brother, James, returned to KY and lived in Laurel County.

Charles worked at Delco Remy as a supervisor. All the Jones brothers worked for General Motors.

He and his brothers and their families loved to get together for family dinners and play cards, and pitch horseshoes. I remember so many happy times from those days.

He also enjoyed playing golf and spending time at the lakes in northern Indiana. They moved to Florida and that is where he died.
