According to a granddaughter, she was young and beautiful, and possibly an orphan, when she married the more than well-to-do John Munn. But "After the last of her children was born she became very large and fat. She worked very hard, had a demanding husband, and had children who wouldn't help her much. She developed a bad heart, had swollen feet and found it hard to breathe. She died in her sleep, apparently from her heart condition."
The children of John Munn and Phebe Homan were:
Silas Wright (1848)
Mary (1849)
Liverton Thomas (1850)
Oliver Dunster (1853)
Lavina/Lavinia (1855)
Lewis James (1856)
Clara (1858)
Flora (1860)
