Funeral for Lillian Mable Long, 79, of Route 3 Danville will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Johnson Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. E.L. Hardin, the Rev. O.J. Ridgeway and the Rev. Roy MacIntosh officiating.
Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Shelton Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 tonight at the funeral home.
Mrs. Long died Saturday at her residence.
She was a member of the Johnson Chapel United Methodist Church, was noted for her handcraft work and was a member of the Community Day Circle.
Mrs. Long is survived by five daughters, Ima Stevens, Ailene Boger, Dean Chenault and Loretta McCaghren, all of Danville, and Doris Ratliff of Decatur; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Stevens, Mickey Boger, Mike Chenault, Jason Ratliff, Ronnie McCaghren and Greg Griffith.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the adult Bible class of Johnson Chapel United Methodist Church.
