She was born May 28, 1922 in Cumberland County, the daughter of Earl and Belle Patton Hassler.
She was the manager of Cumberland Wash N Dry Laundry, and she was a member of Linary Church of Christ.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Peggy Houston of Crossville; daughter and son-in-law, Darlene and Vic Tollett of Crossville; grandchildren, Angela Shadden, Missy Hedgecoth, Teresa Tollett, Tim Houston, Jason Tollett and Ean Tollett; great-grandchildren, Alexis Houston and Cody Hedgecoth; and sister, Effie Tollett of Crossville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Barnes; brothers, Virgil, Elmo and Bill Hassler; and sisters, Lola Ray and Cora Lewis.
Pallbearers were David Hassler, Lane Tollett, Steve Hassler, Jeff Hassler, Sonny Lewis and Tim Houston.
