Pauline and Ron settled in Logan, raising five children. After her children were grown, she attended Utah State University, earning a bachelor's degree in fine arts. She put her skills to work by creating a book called "Grandma's Picture Book," which contains both family photos and folklore. Her legacy will bind the family quilt for many generations to come.
Pauline is survived by her husband, Ronald; children, Leaunda Hemphill, Lisle, Ill., Tim Schaeffer, Boise, Idaho, Dianna Schaeffer. Logan, Utah, Ronda Schaeffer-South, Soda Spring, Idaho, Dan Schaeffer, Cedar City, Utah; seven grandchildren; brothers, Sirren Bybee (Harriman, Utah), Don Bybee (Salt Lake City, Utah), and Andrew Bybee (Malad, Idaho).
She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Trina, and her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2001, at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 E. Center St., Logan, Utah. Family and friends will begin gathering at 10 a.m.
Interment will be conducted at Fairview Cemetery in Soda Springs. Friends and family are invited to meet at the Caribou County Senor Citizen Center at 3:30 p.m. for a tribute to Pauline, her life and many accomplishments. A light dinner will be served afterward.
