MARY E. SHEPARD

Mary E. Shepard, 82, 416 N. Anderson St., Elwood, died today at Dickey's Nursing Home.

Born May 23, 1907, in Hamilton County, she was the daughter of Riley and Rosetta Wilburn Crull. She was married to Vernon Shepard in April of 1923. He preceded her in death Oct. 14, 1989.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Omega Christian Church.

A daughter, Rosetta Lavone, preceded her in death.

Surviving are seven sons, Eugene Shepard, Charles Shepard and Tom Shepard, all of Elwood, David Shepard and Harold Shepard of Kokomo, Arnold Shepard of Frankton, and Dwight Shepard of Atlanta; three daughters, Carolyn Coffey of Anderson, Roberta Roe of Tipton and Mary Irene McClure of Cleveland; 33 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Copher & Fesler Funeral Home, 415 S. Anderson St., Elwood. Burial will be in the Hobbs Cemetery in Tipton County.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
