Caleb was the son of my ancestors, SGT. SAMUEL & SARAH (CHEDSEY) ALLING and brother of my ancestor, CAPT. DANIEL ALLING. Caleb married (1) Hannah Bishop on March 19, 1718-79 by Samuel Bishop, JP. She died December 19, 1719 and is buried with her son, Samuel, who died on Dec. 8, 1719. Capt. Caleb married (2) Thankful Mix on Feb. 9, 1721-2, and (3) Hannah Alling on January 30, 1744/45.
A memorial stands in Hamden Plains Cemetery to Caleb & his third wife, Hannah Alling, and their child, Rev. Caleb Alling and his wife, Lois Dorman Alling.
