Frederick Embich, s/o Johan Frederick & Margaret (Shindel) Embich, married Lucetta (Doebler) Embich with whom he had 6 children, Rosanna, Amelia, Emiline, Frederick, William and Lucretia. Early in life he became quite influential in political affairs. On Apr. 28, 1836, he was commissioned a Justice of the Peace for the borough and town of Lebanon. During the latter years of his life he followed the business of an auctioneer, for which his wit and geniality admirably fitted him. Highly gifted therefore for this avocation, he was a great favorite all over the county, and the fact that he was to appear as the auctioneer was in itself an advertisement and secured a large attendance. He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church and served many years as one of its deacons.
