Funeral Services for Wallace Edward Mullins, 76, were held Monday at the Sauls Valley Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery.
Mr. Mullins was born May 30, 1894, the son of the late Johnny Mullins and Lily Newman Mullins. He attended the schools of Lawrence County, and was a retired farmer. He was a member of Sauls Valley Baptist Church.
Rev. Jackie Cooke was in charge of the services, with music by Mrs. Burt Mullins and Mrs. Wayne Tanksley. The Lawrence County Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Mullins died Saturday at Columbia Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.
Survivors include his wife: Mrs. Ettie Netherland Mullins of Jayess; two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth McNally and Mrs. Marie Preston, both of Houston, Texas; five sons, Albon and Wesley Mullins, both of Monticello, Jewel Mullins, Jayess, Ray Mullins, Columbia, and James Mullins, Houston; 17 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by five sisters: Mrs. Belva Carney, Mrs. Ethel Daley, Mrs. Bernice Wallace, Mrs. Grace Murana and Mrs. Madge Logan.
Pallbearers were James Givens, Billy Ford Givens, Byrd Mullins, Sherman Mullins, Alford Carney, Wayne Tanksley.
