Also noted to have been possibly at Mauna Ala Royal Mausoleum, or for a time were there, however the remains of this young Prince and his brother of the same name are confirmed by Waiola Church to be interred at the Royal tomb at this location and are mentioned in the grave marker there in Lahaina. ∼Keaweaweulaokalani III Kamehameha, Prince of Hawaii, the second son of HM Kamehameha III and his queen consort HM Kalama Hakaleleponi-i-Kapakuhaili. The baby boy was the namesake of his father and his brother.
The young boy died only six months after his birth, at Honolulu. His hanai (adopted) brother, Alexander Liholiho would succeed his father as king.
