Abel Rendon, Sr., 59, of Houston, passed away December 8, 2007. Abel was born Sept. 17, 1948 in Lubbock,Texas to Calistro Rendon, Sr. & Estella Mendoza Rendon. He was preceded in death by his mother, Estella Rendon, by wife, Juanita Rendon, and by brothers, Calistro Rendon, Jr. and Joe Rendon, Juan Rendon, David Rendon and Manuel Rendon; by sister, Paula Rodriguez and baby sister Olga Rendon. He is lovingly survived by sons, Robert Rendon & wife Angie of Manvel, Texas, Abel Rendon, Jr. & wife Lupe of Garland, TX; Joe Angel Rendon & wife Diana of South Carolina; by daughters, Ruby Ann Rendon & husband Jaime of Grand Prairie, Texas; Lou R. Martinez & husband Juan of Dallas, Texas; and Jenny Rendon & husband Juan, also of Dallas, Texas; by father, Calistro Rendon, Sr. of Houston; by sisters, Adelina Garza of Rio Grande City; Emma Ruiz of Falfurrias; Yolanda Galvan of Houston and Josefina Brawner also of Houston; by brothers, Jesse Rendon, Julio Rendon and Eloy Rendon all of Houston. Services celebrating his life were held Friday, December 14, 2007 at Carter Funeral Home Chapel. He was laid to rest in San Jacinto Memorial Park under the direction of Carter Funeral Home.
