Sinclair Morrison passed away at his home in East Elk Rapids, Monday, May 24, 1948, at the age of 67.
He was born in Grand Traverse County at the former John Morrison home on Elk Lake.
He spent his boyhood in Elk Rapids and later worked for the Iron Co., Several years were also spent working in Minneapolis and Duluth, Minnesota.
He was married to Harriet Farrell in Flint, October 29, 1912, and worked in the Buick plant for many years. He later became a partner of Vincent Cramption in a Buick dealership in Three Rivers, Michigan.
He returned to Flint in 1936 and was associated with the Shore Motor Sales and The Bell Telephone Company.
He was a member of the Flint Masonic Lodge.
He retired in 1945 and returned to Elk Rapids, where he has since managed the Beer cherry orchard for his sister.
He leaves to mourn his loss, besides his wife, his sister, Mrs. Frand Beer and nephews and niece and many other relatives.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. from St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Elk Rapids with Rev. Fr. Basso officiating. Burial was made in Maple Grove Cemetery.

RITES AT ELK RAPIDS -- Funeral services for Sinclair Morrison, 67, whose death occurred suddenly Monday at his home in East Elk Rapids, were conducted there Wednesday afternoon at St. Paul's Episcopal church, Rev. Louis Basso of this cityofficiating. Interment was made in Maple Grove cemetery at Elk Rapids.
