Leonard Peterson Died Friday

Leonard Peterson, 67 years of age, Kennard Post Master, died Friday afternoon at Memorial Community Hospital.

Mr. Peterson is survived by his wife, Blanche; daughter Mrs. Leonard Nelson of Millard and son Berkley.

The Kramer Mortuary is in charge of arrangements which had not been completed at press time Saturday. A complete obituary will appear in Saturday's Enterprise.

Leonard Peterson, Kennard Postmaster, Died Here Friday

Funeral services were held Monday for Leonard E. Peterson, Kennard, who died Friday at Memorial Community Hospital. The services were held at the Kennard Methodist Church with interment in Kennard Cemetery.

Mr. Peterson is survived by his wife, Blanche; daughter, Mrs. Leonard Nelson of Millard; son, Berkeley of Yakima, Wash.; sisters, Mrs. Ben Glissmann of Papillion and Mrs. Roland Holmes of Bennington; brother, Ray Peterson of St. Louis; and four grand-daughters.

Mr. Peterson was born April 18, 1895 at Kennard and was a life-time resident of Kennard. He married March 11, 1920 at Kennard.

He served in World War I and was a member of the American Legion, president of the Kennard School Board for several terms, secretary of the Kennard Cemetery Association for several years and a member and Past Master of the Kennard Masonic Lodge. He served as Postmaster at Kennard since June of 1956.

Pallbearers were Donald Glassmann, Roger Holmes, Bernard Holmes, Arne Johnson, Vance Taylor and Howard Nelson.
