"Ada Marie Stehle, 88, Kansas City, MO, passed away December 28, 1996, at the Lenox Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, where she had lived for five years. Services will be held 2:30 p.m. Monday, December 30, at McGilley Midtown Chapel. Burial will be in Mount Moriah Cemetery.
Ada was born in Ottawa, KS, and spent all of her adult life in Kansas City, KS, and Kansas City, MO. Before her retirement, she was employed as a clerk for J.C. Penney Company and Montgomery Ward. Earlier, she had operated a restaurant on Southwest Boulevard.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, a sister, and her husband, William Stehle. Survivors include nieces, Dorothy Dean of Topeka, KS, Beverly Hootman Dunham of Kansas City, KS, and Donna Hootman Jenkins of Blue Springs; a nephew, Ralph Hootman of Kansas City, KS; cousins, Pebble Horn of Overland Park, KS, Velma Etherton of Trenton, MO, and Arzella Kantola of Collinsville, IL."
