Judith Ann Ladd Ragan passed away peacefully the evening of February 13, 2024. Judy, was born on August 28, 1943, a sweltering day that she liked to brag was the hottest day on record that year. Judy grew up in Nashville, graduating from David Lipscomb High School and later attending MTSU. As a young woman in the 1960s, she lived briefly in Saigon, Vietnam and Bangkok, Thailand before making her home in Dickson, Tennessee. She married Steve Ragan on August 28, 1972.

Judy worked at BellSouth while raising two children, retiring after 30 years as an Account Executive. After retirement, she enjoyed travelling, volunteering as a poll watcher with the Dickson County Election Commission, and briefly serving as a substitute teacher. Judy never met a stranger, could talk to anyone, and loved coffee. In her honor, you should make a date with a friend for coffee and a long overdue chat.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation to Mind What Matters (https://www.wearemindwhatmatters.org), an organization that assists caregivers of persons with Alzheimer's and dementia.

The family would also like to thank and acknowledge Judy's caregivers at Clarendale Memory Care, Helping Hearts, and Heart to Soul.

Judy is survived by her husband of 52 years, Steve Ragan; her daughters Margaret Shelton (Ken) and Cynthia Ragan (Jerry); her grandchildren William (Karen), Ashley, Georgia and Harper; her great-granddaughter Ameila; her beloved first cousin, Jane Lunn; and her best friends Marie and Robert Thuan, Carolyn Gray and many Lipscomb Ladies.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 18, 2024, from the chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home. Bro. Steve Baggett will officiate. Visitation will be held on Sunday beginning at 12 Noon until the time of service. Burial will follow in the Dickson County Memorial Gardens.
