Edna Virginia (Fussell) (Ladd) Gardner was born on November 16, 1919 in Dickson County, Tennessee, the daughter of Liberty Clayton Fussell (1875-1939) and Victoria "Vick" (England) Fussell (1876-1954).
She was married 1st to Carl "Phillip" Ladd (1919-1964), the son of William Henry Ladd Jr (1869–1937) and Maggie Bell (Joslin) Ladd (1877–1968). Edna was married 2nd as the 2nd wife of Robert G Gardner Sr (1921-2005).
Edna was a resident of Nashville, Tennessee from 1940 until 1986 and was a member of the Lawrence Avenue Church of Christ and Crieve Hall Church of Christ.
She was a retired employee of Castner Knott in Green Hills and was an active member of the David Lipscomb PTO for several years.
Living in Dickson, Tennessee, she was 93 years old when she passed away on January 14, 2013 at NHC after a brief illness.
Preceded in death by her two husbands, Edna was survived by a married daughter, two married granddaughters, four great-grandchildren, two stepchildren, five step-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services were held at Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson, and burial was in Dickson County Memorial Gardens next to her 1st husband.
