Mrs. Bonacci Succumbs to Shock and Bruises Received in Mishap
While enroute to Miles City Sunday morning, Frank Angelo, section foreman at Plevna, failed to negotiate a curve on the Knowlton road, crashing back into a bank of dirt and suffered what might have been considered a minor accident if not the shock of the impact caused the death of the aged Mrs. Giovanna Bonacci, mother of Mrs. Angelo.
The machine driven by Angelo was not overturned and no damage except a broken wheel, a smashed window and bent fenders was incurred by the car. Mrs. Angelo was thrown out of the car but suffered no perceptible injury while the rest of the occupants, with the exception of Mrs. Bonacci, suffered only slight bruises.
After the accident, which occurred about eight miles from Knowlton, another car soon arrived and Mrs. Bonacci, who at the time was unconscious but still breathing, was rushed to Ismay, but before the intervening distance could be traversed, the injured woman expired.
The remains were taken to Pleva Monday and burial was made from St. Anthony's Catholic Church the following morning.
