DR. JAMES RAIZON DIES SUDDENLY OF HEART FAILURE
Dr. James Raizon, who for more than 20 years a prominent physician of Trinidad and Los Amimas Co., dropped dead this afternoon a few minutes after 12 o'clock. As near as could be learned death was due to heart failure.
For the past week Dr. Raizon has complained to his wife at frequent intervals that his heart was bothering him. It was after one of these attacks this morning that he fell over in a faint and passed away. With him at the time of his death were his wife and Mrs. R. W. Davis. They rushed to his side but were unable to render any assistance. Dr. James Espy was called, but the doctor was dead before he arrived.
Dr. Raizon was one of the best known doctors in Los Animas County. For more than a score of years he has administered to the ills of this section and especially to the foreign population.
The deceased was born in France December 25, 1844 , and came to this country when yet a young man. He settled in various places in the East and finally in 1890 came to Trinidad where he has once been located.
The deceased is survived by his wife (Louise LaSalle Raizon) and two children. Frank Raizon of this city and Mrs. Nellie Klopie of Denver.
He was a Justice of the Peace and established the first hospital and drugstore.
