The little three year daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. Agard of South Salem township was horribly burned last Monday evening. The little girl died Wednesday morning at 5 o'clock after suffering two days of terrible agony. Mrs. Agard had left the house to get a bucket of water and it is not known exactly how the accident occured but it is thought that the child was playing about the stove with a feather which caught fire and in turn the child's clothes were set on fire. When the mother returned the little girl was running about the room. Mrs. Agard smothered out the flames with a quilt but not until the child had been totaly burned.

Funeral serviced were held at the Agard home this morning. Interment was in the Norwegian cemetery.
