SHREVEPORT - Services for Mrs. Georgette Emery, of Shreveport, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday March 14 at the Hopewell Baptist Church. The Rev. Dennis C. Jones will officiate. Burial will be at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Good Samaritan Funeral Home.
Mrs. Emery, a native of Shreveport, died Sunday March 8, 1987, at Schumpert Medical Center after brief illness. She was a dedicated Christian and mother and a dedicated member of Hopewell Baptist Church.
She is survived by three sons, Alfred Emery of Compton, Calif., James Emery of Columbus, Ga. and Joe R. Wills of Shreveport; four daughters, Mrs. Charlene Lyons, Charlesetta Thornton, Mrs. Doris Elie and Mrs. Maxine Richardson, all of Shreveport; one sister, Charlene Gant of Shreveport; one brother, Joe Bishop; an aunt, 27 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, three daughters in law, and a host of other relatives and friends.
