Jerry D. Hannon, 81, of Lewistown, passed away on Tuesday January 23, 2024 at William Penn Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born June 23, 1942 in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Cameron Hannon, Sr. and Esther (Limes) Hannon. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Ann (Harpster) Hannon on November 1, 2018, and his siblings. He was the last of his immediate family.

Jerry is survived by his children, Leslie Knable, of McVeytown, Patrick Hannon and wife Karen, of Mifflintown, and Andrea Hannon and partner Jessica Lyons, of Milroy, grandchildren, Makenzie Peachey and husband Zachary, Rebeka Knable and boyfriend Cody Miller, and Madison Hannon and fiancé Westin Kantz, and great-grandchildren, Paul and Grant Peachey.

He was a member of Ellen Chapel Church, where he formerly served as an usher and treasurer. Jerry was employed at New Holland for 42 years, all the while working his way to Senior Tool Engineer, retiring in 2002. He was a passionate train enthusiast, and always displayed elaborate train layouts. He will be remembered as a faithful New York Yankee and Penn State Football fan. Most of all, he enjoyed family gatherings for holidays, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A private graveside service will be held at Juniata Memorial Park at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to King-Barr Funeral Home LLC, 120 Logan Street, Lewistown.
