Funeral services for Ernest Christian, who died on Tuesday evening in an Austin hospital, will be held on Thursday, Sept. 18 at 3 p.m. at Seydler-Hill Chapel.
The Rev. John Powers will officiate, with interment in the Masonic cemetery.
Mr. Christian was born on Sept. 12, 1913 in Karen's, Navarro county, to Clyde Marvin and Mary Ella Christian, both natives of Gonzales county. He was married to Ruby Ruth Hamon on Dec. 25, 1934 in Gonzales, and they were former resident of Gonzales, now living in Austin.
He was a member of the Congress Avenue Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Clyde Christian.
