First born child of Gen. Henry Delamar Clayton and Victoria Virginia Hunter Clayton. He died on a visit to his grandparents Nelson Clayton and Sarah Leith Carruthers Clayton house in Chambers County, Alabama. He is the oldest grave in this cemetery because he was originally buried at the home of his grandparents and was moved to this cemetery when it was later established in 1869.
