Mrs. Peavy was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, as well as a homemaker. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Nacogdoches.
Survivors include her daughter, Aleta Spivey of Nacogdoches; granddaughter, Angela Jones and husband Clay of Nacogdoches; great-grandchildren, Mason and Morgan Jones; a number of nieces, nephews and other family members; and caregivers, Delores Gipson and Catherine Morris, both of Nacogdoches.
Mrs. Peavy was preceded in death by her husband, Jim B. Peavy.
Pallbearers will be members of Mrs. Peavy's family.
Services for Mrs. Peavy will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 13, 2007 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. John Spurgeon and Rev. Jeremiah Moss officiating. Interment will follow in the Fielder Cemetery.
