HALLIGAN, DWIGHT JOHN "D.J." SR., 61, of Lutz, died Wednesday (Jan. 8, 1997) in Tampa. He was born in Davenport, Iowa, and came to the area in 1959. He was a retired police detective for the city of Tampa, having attained the rank of sergeant. A Navy veteran, he was the assisant chief of security at Tampa Jai Alai and was president of the Fraternal Order of the Police Tampa Lodge 27. He was Catholic. He is survived by his wife, Judy; two daughters, Cindy Osteen, Tampa, and Beth Guillot, Houston; two sons, D.J. Jr., Land O'Lakes and Michael J., Lutz; two stepdaughters, Corie and Christine Decos, both of Tampa; two brothers, Melvin J. and John R., both of Davenport, Iowa; two sisters, Patricia Kroeger and Rosemary Enoch, both of Davenport, Iowa; and two granddaughters.
