Marvin Travis Holbert Sr., of Hendersonville, passed away on Saturday December 09, 2023 at his home on Duncan Hill Road.

A native of Henderson County, he was the son of the late Frank and Thursal Duncan Holbert. He preceded in death by one son Josh Holbert who died November 01, 2019.

Marvin was the proud owner of Holbert Heating & AC for over forty years. He loved camping and spending time with his family. Most of all he loved his work, he always said " if you liked your job that it was not a job it was a joy. He always had a joke for you, Marvin will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife; Ruth Holbert, and a step granddaughter Alexis Drake of the home, three sons; Marvin Jr. (Shirley) of Penrose, NC, Kenny of Leicester, NC, Ethan (Caitlin) of Marion, NC , two daughters; Sharon Mennell of Charlotte, NC and Erica (Keith) Engle of Pennsylvania, three step children, several grandchildren and great grandchildren and several brothers and sisters.

A Memorial Service will be held, Saturday January 06, 2024 at two o'clock in the afternoon at Boiling Springs Baptist Church, 1291 Fanning Bridge Road, Fletcher, NC 28732, where he was a member with Pastor Phillip Luther and Pastor Cody Strugill officiating.
